Our Team

Deutsche Beteiligungs AG has an experienced management team with an extensive track record in private equity, investment banking and industry.

Heading the team are the members of the Board of Management:

Torsten Grede
	born 1964, Member of the Board of Management, joined DBAG in 1990, Member of the Board of Management since January 2001. Studied business administration in Cologne and St. Gallen, Switzerland, following a bank traineeship. 21 years of experience in private equity.
Wilken Freiherr von Hodenberg
	born 1954, joined DBAG in 2000 as Member of the Board of Management and its Spokesman. Studied law in Hamburg and Lausanne. 18 years of experience in investment banking, three years of service as a finance director for a major German retail chain.
André Mangin
	born 1954, Member of the Board of Management, joined DBAG in 2001, Member of the Board since January 2004. Studied law at the University of Hamburg. 25 years of experience in private equity, corporate finance and investment banking.
Dr Rolf Scheffels
	born 1966, Member of the Board of Management, joined DBAG in 1997, Member of the Board of Management since January 2004. Studied business administration and economics at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University of Frankfurt/Main. 20 years of experience in private equity and corporate finance.

Tom Alzin
	Senior Vice President, joined DBAG in 2004 after earning his degree in business administration. He studied at HEC Lausanne, Switzerland, and the London School of Economics, United Kingdom. Seven years of experience in private equity.
Jochen Baumann
	Senior Vice President, joined DBAG in 1997. He holds a degree in business administration from the University of Passau and studied at the University of Lund, Sweden, following a bank traineeship. 15 years of experience in private equity.
Volker Bonsels
	Senior Vice President, joined DBAG in 1995. Studied industrial engineering at the University of Kaiserslautern. 16 years of experience in private equity and banking.
Dr Gundel Clouth
	Senior Vice President, heads the legal department. Joined Deutsche Beteiligungs AG in 1997. Studied law at the Universities of Cologne, Lausanne (Switzerland) and Göttingen. 21 years of experience in corporate and capital market law.
Frederic Dovi-Akue
	Senior Investment Manager, joined Deutsche Beteiligungs AG in 2009. Studied production management at Reutlingen University and at Pôle Universitaire Léonard De Vinci, France. Earned his MBA degree from Harvard Business School, USA. Three years of experience in the automotive industry, three years of experience in private equity.
Gustav Egger
	Senior Vice President, joined DBAG in 1989. He holds a degree in engineering and business administration from the University of Technology in Berlin. 29 years of experience in private equity and finance.
Frizzy Gatzmann
	Associate, joined DBAG in 2009. Studied International Business Economics at the Maastricht University, the Netherlands. She received a Master of Science in International Business. Three years of experience in private equity.
Lucas Herbert
	Senior Investment Manager, joined DBAG in 2007. Studied International Business at the Maastricht University, the Netherlands and passed a MScBA at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, the Netherlands. Four years of experience in private equity.
Jens Hölscher
	Senior Vice President, joined DBAG in 2001. Studied business administration at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University of Frankfurt/Main. 14 years of experience in private equity, corporate finance and accounting.
Zhengyu Hu
	Investment Manager, joined DBAG in July 2010. She holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Augsburg and a Bachelor Degree of marketing and fashion design from the Shanghai University of Engineering Science. Seven years of experience in Investment Banking and Corporate Finance.
Jannick Hunecke
	Senior Vice President, joined DBAG in 2001 after earning his degree in business administration from the University of Münster. Eleven years of experience in private equity.
Daniel Kronberger
	Senior Investment Manager, joined DBAG in 2007. Studied Business Administration at Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, Austria. Four years experience in private equity and four years in M&A and industry.
Gerard Lindgren
	Senior Vice President, joined DBAG in 1998. Studied business administration and engineering at the University of Karlsruhe and at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. 17 years of experience in private equity and corporate finance.
Dr Johanna May
	Researcher, joined DBAG in 2007. Studied history, media and communications at the Georg August University Göttingen. Ten years experience in research.
Maria Miks
	Investment Manager, joined DBAG in 2009. Studied business administration at the Martin-Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg and Linguistics & Literature at the Lomonosov University, Moscow. Five years of experience in private equity and M&A.
Bernd Neumann
	Senior Investment Manager, joined DBAG in 2007 after studying business administration at the Karl-Franzens-University Graz focusing on corporate finance and earned his MBA degree at the SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan, Italy. Five years of experience in private equity.
Andreas Paulke
	Chief Financial Officer, joined DBAG in 2002. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the Leuphana University Lüneburg. More than ten years of experience in Private Equity and Investment Banking, five years of experience in an audit firm.
Christian Pfirrmann
	Senior Vice President, joined DBAG in 2005. Studied business administration at the Catholic University of Eichstätt and earned his MBA degree at the Yale School of Management in New Haven, USA. Eleven years of experience in private equity, M&A and industry.
Kai Wiesenbach
	Senior Vice President, joined DBAG in 2004 after studying business administration at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University of Frankfurt/Main focusing on finance and accounting. Seven years of experience in private equity.
